Review of Escape from the Planet of the Apes (1971) by Travis F — 09 Nov 2008
Better than the second one. This would have made a better squeal. It takes place in the real human world and the roles of the first movie are changed--this time it is the apes who are in a human world. Interesting concepts, good characters, but still not as good as the original.
Also, like another reviewer below said:
"Seriously, if the apes didn't even know how a paper airplane worked, how on Earth could three of them have found Taylor's ship, dragged it out of the water, somehow rebuilt it, refueled it, figured out how to fly it, and somehow escaped from the planet just as it was about to blow up, only to be sent back in time to the exact same time period as when Taylor left? Apart from that, I actually enjoyed this movie.".
