Review of Escape from the Planet of the Apes (1971) by Bill W — 04 Jan 2008
SPOILER.
The intelligent apes come to present day Earth. That doesn't give much away as they do that in the first few minutes of the film. This makes for a reverse 'stranger-in-a-strange-land' scenario and what happens in this film sets up the events that lead to the ape dominance seen in the first film. This is interesting, which isn't much of a complement.
