Review of Escape from the Planet of the Apes (1971) by Jon W — 19 May 2009
Despite the fact that there are only 2 talking apes in the movie it succeeds as a social commentary, and as a great setup and continuation of the series. Race relations, governmental policy, and that nature of man are looked at, and while ultimately it's tragic, it works really well.
