Review of Escape from the Planet of the Apes (1971) by Jonathan B — 06 Jun 2010
After the abrupt ending of the last film of the earth being destroyed chimps Zira and her husband Cornelius and Milo use a spaceship and journey back about 2000 years in the past. I really enjoyed this film it had a lot of heart.
This is the better one of the sequels to the Planet of the Apes. Roddy McDowell and Kim Hunter are brilliant in this film. Sal Mineo is unrecognizable as Dr. Milo and this is one of his last film appearances.
Ricardo Montalban also stars.
