After the horrible sequel, I was pretty reluctant to watch this one, but was surprised by how good it actually was. Gone is the mindlessness of the second film, and back is the philosophical bend of the first one.
It does a good job of kinda mirroring the first film in some scenes. The first half works much better than the second, but it still does a good job of feeling like a thoughtful sci-fi movie all the way through.
