Review of Escape from the Planet of the Apes (1971) by Connor G — 06 May 2014

Easily the best of the sequels! By this point in the series Cornelius and Zira were like old friends, so it was great to get a sequel focused on them. The film does an incredible job disguising itself as this laid back sort of romantic-comedy for a while in the beginning to get the viewers guard down, only to break your heart in the end.

I will admit this is one of the few movies that genuinely makes me cry every time I watch it.
