Great 'bleak future' flick with Kurt Russell as one bad enough dude to save the president from a city full of crazies. Worth watching just for the 9-11 parallels, or Adrienne Barbeau at her scorching hottest.
Best of all, it's a triumphant last hurrah for a generation of action stars: Lee Van Cleef, Donald Pleasence, Ernest Borgnine, and Harry Dean Stanton are among the supporting cast.
