Review of Escape from L.A. (1996) by Zach M — 13 Jan 2008
An entertaining flick, Kurt Russell is always fun to watch playing Snake Plissken. This movie is basically just a remake of "Escape from New York" but it brings enough new to the table to not make it seem too redundant.
Steve Buscemi is fun to see as a weasely "tour guide" and Peter Fonda even shows up briefly as a surfer dude. This movie is extremely entertaining even if the story and the special effects are sometimes godawful.
