Review of Escape from L.A. (1996) by Daniel S — 17 Jul 2008
When people describe it as "basically 'Escape from New York' transplanted to L.A.," they ain't kidding - some of the scenes are, I kid you not, *exact* copies of scenes from the first movie, same dialogue and everything - but of course, they've been transplanted to L.
A. (That said, I liked this movie a little bit better than "Escape from New York" - but only because the cinematography wasn't so dark this time around; "Escape from New York" was so dark that half the time, I couldn't figure out what was going on.
