Review of Escape from L.A. (1996) by Nate H — 14 Oct 2010
Difficult to really see this as a sequel, feels more of a remake in comparison to how Raimi approached the first two Evil Dead's, too many similarities for this to feel unique. Biggest let down was with Jurassic Park filmed three years before I can't forgive the cheap looking CGI, especially as the original (EFNY) was filmed with none.
You can't deny Russell know's how to play the anti-hero though and when he presses the button at the end you can't help but say "YEAH!", which is why I will probably watch this again in the future.
