One of my favorite escape movies, ESCAPE FROM ALCATRAZ is a "Rock" solid (hehehe), gripping tale that I have returned to numerous times. I can't imagine anyone more perfect for the role of Frank than Eastwood, who lends the man a a certain enigmatic grit.
The film is claustrophobic, tense, and brilliantly realized. Mastery of the mysterious real life events is no easy task, and yet ESCAPE FROM ALCATRAZ does it--with style.
