Review of Escape from Alcatraz (1979) by Zachary Z — 17 Jan 2009
The classic prison film is still a pleasure to watch to this day. Clint Eastwood dons his regular grimacing smile, and the recognizable cast also lends to this star power. Similar to the Shawshank Redemption (or vice versa, as this one came first), Escape from Alcatraz is not only about escape, but all the lives this man touches along the way.
Overall, a great, classic, Eastwood film.
