Review of Eraserhead (1977) by Jim W — 18 Dec 2010
This movie is my first Lynch film and is very interesting to say the least. I am a big fan of low budget, indie films and this one tips the cake. It is hard to garner a message out of this film merely due to the fact of it being a surrealist movie.
It has its elements that can be resonated in real life and it has elements that are surrealist. Both are essential to the creation of this piece. Lynch had an idea and ran with it, whether it is a crazy idea or not he made it work and set the tone for low-budget and independent movies to come.
