Review of Eraserhead (1977) by Gary L — 08 Jun 2010
David Lynch's 1976 film Eraserhead is a surrealistic nightmare on film. No words can describe how weird it is. The film is very original, chilling and haunting. The film is viewed like a very bad nightmare.
The Meaning behind the film is never clear, and after the film is over you are left guessing as to what the film was about. David Lynch has never disclosed the true meaning of the film, but its up to the viewer to guess.
The film is very avant-garde and will definitely not appeal to the general public, but for what it is. this film is haunting, chilling, horrifying and above all a work of art. Eraserhead is the type of film thats very hard to categorize, but it definitely belongs in the horror for its surrealistic nightmare style.
EraserHead is a very weird, twisted film, but for the most part it's a totally different viewing experience, a look inside the eccentric mind of David Lynch.
