Review of Eraserhead (1977) by Gregory C — 23 Oct 2010
Last night I watched this for the first time in about 20 years and I almost turned it off like three times. I totally forgot how relentless and hostile this movie is. the sound alone is enough to drive you nuts.
still, I powered through and found it almost as rewarding as when I was a teenager. not lynch's best but definitely not his worst. also, it made me sad because jack nance (credited as john nance here) is gone.
