Honestly, I dont know waht to write. Im not into black and white films, but I think this may hafve opened up a whole new world for me. The amount of symbolism in eraserhead is unreal. I knew there was tonds and tons and tons of hype surrounding it, but I didnt really buy into any of it.

My reason being, the sheer amount of old black and white films that are prasied time and tiome again because, well..i have no freaking clue. But, now I have an idea as to why these moovies are alwasy rated so respectively.

Its the story. the symbolism. the cinomotography. the acting. the emotion. the stage props. eveything plays such a key role in these ol' timey films and ive failed to see this, UNTIL NOW. If a movie like eraserhead were prodcuded in this day and age, it would die the second it could reach the masses.

Today its all about making everything look real. make everything as believable as possible. make as much money as possible. Whats the catch you ask? lose the story. The story is the biggest element in a movie.

Many in this generation have no idea what a good story in movies durning their time. Sure, there are a selct few that are masterfully created and have an original sotory. but mostly everything else is rehashed garbage.

Im not saying eraserhead is the most beautiful film that has ever been created. What I am saying is that it has opened my eyes towards the original direction filmakers wanted us to experience. The pioneers of the film industry would be disappointed in 97% of whats made today.

But basically, in a nut shell, I started the movie off slightly sober, halfway through, my green bullet triple india pale ale beers caught up to me and made me fully grasp every single last detail of Ereaserhead.

But, by the time the movie came to a close and it was time for me to write a review immediately afterwards, I am drunk. I am aware that my spelling, grammar, and logic may not make a lick of sense, but this is one of those special times where I just want to type whats on my mind without fixing/correcting a damn thing.

What youve read has come straight from my noodle, without any sensors, and/or yeah, I need to go to bed.
