Review of Eraserhead (1977) by D.a. Z — 29 Mar 2014
This is definitely not a film for Lynch novices. It's unrelentingly dark, unsettling, has no concern for explaining itself. It is all these aspects, however, that make the film so superbly iconic. It clearly sets the foundation for all of Lynch's latter films, while maintaining its own surreal and nightmarish originality to this day.
There is no director quite like David Lynch.
