Review of Equus (1977) by James M — 04 Apr 2010
Equus is a great drama about the human mind. Richard Burton lends his legendary voice and acting chops to an over-worked psychiatrist and is perfect for the part. The film has some great monologues and great artistic direction.
While there are some melodramatic moments and it can get very pretentious. But its a great movie which should be checked out by fans of drama if you can handle its mature themes and powerful imagery.
