Review of Equilibrium (2002) by Urmimala R — 20 Jun 2011

In the vein of the matrix, Christian Bale plays a police officer of sorts in a Dystopian society where human emotion has been outlawed in a attempt to end war and hatred through a drug that suppresses feelings.

Charged with arresting "sense offenders" who have any possessions from books to art or anything that would stir up emotions, Preston (played by Bale) and the other "Clerics" lead raids on the outlaws who fight against the system.

It's a great action flick with some killer fight scenes and a very deep plot. Definitely worth checking out.
