Review of Equilibrium (2002) by Anthony B — 27 Jul 2011
Better than I remember it, I didn't leave it seething with rage this time. There is some decent little action scenes, and as far as dystopian futures with heavy-handed messages about Big Brother medicating our society, it's not bad.
And the performances are fine. But the plot-holes, dialogue, stupid characters and shitty mythical martial-arts (Gun Fu: Srsly, wouldn't that shatter your wrists?) make this Matrix wannabe good only for comedic relief.
