The story exceedingly resembles a cheesy young-adult book adaptation where forbidden love and a futuristic dystopian setting are all too common. I didn't like the way the movie was filmed as there was too much shaky cam, the editing felt sloppy with weird cuts, and the lack of dialogue drove me insane.
Holt and Stewart were stoic in their performances, delivering nothing praiseworthy in this muted, plodding drama. Equals is a complete waste of time.
