Review of Epic (2013) by Leonard E — 24 Nov 2013

So it was Daddy Night again last night, so I gave Lydia a choice between Planes, Turbo, and Epic. She chose Epic, and I had heard lots of good recommendations (most of them from Lydia). But is "From the Makers of Ice Age.

.." really a selling point? To me that says "Try the generic brand, it's just as good." Granted, they had a pretty cool Honey I Shrunk the Kids tribute in the middle, and Christoph Waltz is always a joy.

But this movie fell into the 'pander to the LCD' category too much to connect with me. I like the movies where the kid *and* the Parent can both enjoy, and despite my best effort, I ended up sleeping through half of this one.
