It definitely has its strong points. The idea of fantastical warriors fighting a never-ending war for the balance of nature is brilliant! The animation, setup, and the adventure are all great! But of course, it falls prey to unmemorable characters, unneeded comic relief, and a few themes of child pandering.
Plus, inserting the boring human characters was entirely unnecessary, and the movie suffers for doing that. The villain was somewhat interesting, but still not developed enough to save the movie.
