Review of Epic (2013) by Hehhehe H — 26 Jul 2014

Epic is visually well crafted, just not all that interesting. It takes a simple concept and well, makes in simple. It hits every point you would expect it to from the "This guy is crazy but is actually right about his theory" to "You think I'm dead but I'm not" plot points . So there isn't much new here to watch, but I liked the animation. The slow motion scenes were fun and the nature shots and characters designs were pretty interesting. And I wanted to see these characters succeed despite them not being all that interesting (and some of them trying WAY too hard to be cool, cough, Pitbull). Speaking of Pitbull what was the point of having him in this movie? He was in it for like a second!

So Epic is a fun ride. Just don't expect to be..well, Epic.
