Review of Entourage (2015) by Carlos M — 29 Jul 2015
I must admit to being pleasantly surprised at this attempted conclusion to Mark Walberg's bio-epic. Having anticipated something very different, much fear came to bear as the story begun. Fortunately, they held true to how things had been done in the past... using a similar format as that on HBO which allowed for us to both appreciate and love the lives of Vince, E, Johnny and Turtle.
This film is one great big answer to how things were to play out after the show ended in 2011. For that reason there will be many who make distasteful reviews, claiming that such a conclusion did not deserve reaching theaters nationwide. That this left fans in a craze of anticipation over something which does not deserve the likes.
PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT THIS FILM WAS FOR THE LONG-TIME VIEWERS OF THE SERIES. Of course it won't ring true for those who failed to even follow this delightful journey from it's birth back in 2004. It seems so difficult for some to realize that what really made this show so great is how it essentially depicted the detailed inner-workings of a particular lifestyle which will never be truly naked to the public eye. What makes this film so great is seeing one such account which attempts to provide a true representation of what goes on in the film industry (on all levels and every angle).
One final note regarding a question I always wanted answers for (and most likely many others did as well): How exactly did these characters relate to Walberg's actual life story? Up until now we had only received the many vague responses he had all too often provided during interviews.
So as not to spoil things for others, wait until after the credits to receive the validation you always wanted (similar to the short at the end of the series after credits had rolled).
