Kinda odd watching it after it's been so thoroughly assimilated into popular culture, all but remade in "Mortal Kombat" et al. Still, not quite a spy film, not quite a kung fu film. Hollywood style giant sets and general Bond intrigue meet fight scenes that are rather more elaborate than your old school bar brawl/clumsy judo things.
As such, I guess pretty much the birth of the modern action film.
