Review of Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room (2005) by Linda I — 30 Oct 2007
I found the subject of this film fascinating, but cannot give the film itself a high rating as I found it pretty polarised in its representation. There was a lot of implication that the managers of Enron behaved in an immoral and unethical way, which they clearly did.
But it failed to put this into context. A lot of the behaviours were entirely normal corporate activity. It was still a fascinating insight, and I was blown away at Enron's control over Californian energy supplies.
I knew nothing about this prior to watching the film.
