Review of Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room (2005) by Henry S — 23 Mar 2008
This was a really well made documentary but I think the key thing here is how compelling the story is. It is so extraordinary how far Lay, Skilling, Fastow and co went to make money, how easily they did it and how at no point did they feel any ethical qualms about what they were doing.
In the middle it felt as though the film was a bit bogged down but I guess that everything in this movie was included because cutting parts out would take away from the story. It seems almost fictional, however all of this is true.
Compelling stuff and well made.
