Review of Enola Holmes (2020) by Mahmus — 01 Oct 2020
It feels like a toned down version of The Adventures of Tintin, but still manages to rise above its flaws, despite a rather weak start and an unsatisfying end.
It's a really fun and charming movie that I can easily see myself having loved as a kid.
It suffers from a lack of subtlety and a less than engaging mystery, but makes up for it with a charming performance from Millie Bobby Brown, a surprisingly violent third act and a fun, if at times poorly edited style.
