Review of Enola Holmes (2020) by Barny — 28 Sep 2020
This movie is so cringey it's akin to having sand blasted in your eyes and ears. The only positive is that an 11 year old girl will undoubtedly like it, everyone else not so much. As for all the recent "productions", it is filled with the usual tropes: "men bad", "men incapable", "men evil", "white men worse than plague", "women strong", "women good", "women mary sue", etc.
In a sense, it's quite astonishing and amusing that they are still peddling this non sense: it reeks of despair. The cast is useless as there is nothing to support and the characters are paper thin, mere stereotypes of straw men.
I guess everyone needs to make a living.
