Review of Enemy at the Gates (2001) by Mesh B — 15 Oct 2013
One of the most ridiculous movie I've ever seen with the best actors and cinematography in it. Enemy at the gates is an average movie at best. Taking place at the Battle of Stalingard in WWII in a small city in Russia, the movie has all the right elements to made it a blockbuster hit. What was the disappointment? Well, beside the fact almost all of the actors are Brits, who speak in BRITISH ACCENT, Enemy at the Gates lacked of soul and proper characters development too. The director seems confused at where he wants to bring this movie - a typical cliche. Joseph Fiennes is a good actor, but he can't shine over the mighty Jude Law, and that's a sad fact. Rachel Weisz tries her best to contribute, where else Ed Harris is the only actor who looked like he is enjoying himself throughout the movie.
6/10.
