Review of Enemy at the Gates (2001) by Facebook U — 19 May 2014
Great war story. Not sugar coated, so feels very real. The worst battle field is the backdrop for a very human story or two, or three perfectly entertwined. Fabulous recreation of Stalingrad in ruins. A great history lesson as well and a reminder of the cruelty of war.
I can't believe the tomatometer says the love story is out of place. Maybe english war stories were a little bit too much homosexual in the past? And what about Map of the human heart?
