Review of End of Watch (2012) by Shane D — 15 Jul 2013
Gritty and restrained. Like COPS but without a PC filter. There is really no traditional plot other than what is a series of events, it's more of a "day in the life" diary of its main subjects which means it is very hard to predict what might be about to happen next.
The hidden camera/found footage style throughout doesn't get too annoying for the most part and you do have to stop asking "why would he still be filming right now?" at about the 5 minute mark.
An interesting film, if not for offering an insight into the varied and troubled task of being an LA cop.
