Review of End of Watch (2012) by Eric J — 01 Aug 2013
A film that unfolds through a humorous and heartfelt relationship between two partners, ending in a predictable climax that still manages to feel like an emotional punch to your stomach. The performances are astonishingly realistic, the cinematography and writing are honest, and the interaction between Pena and Gyllenhal (who I despise in every other role) is the most authentic I've seen in a long time.
This film wasn't given much attention..but trust me...it's a must watch.
