Review of End of Watch (2012) by Daniel M — 01 Sep 2014
A movie about two cops Brian Taylor (Jake Gyllenhaal) and Mike Zavala (Michael Pena). Not only co-workers on the LAPD, but also best friends. The film is shot in a documentary like "found footage" kind of style at times, but it's not so noticeable as previous films shot in this style.
When Brian and Mike bust a notoriously dangerous drug cartel they soon become the target of a hit and must survive. The movies plot is very well done and has an interesting story. Gyllenhaal and Pena interact so great that it doesn't even seem like they're acting it's like your watching a real conversation.
Overall, a great little action crime drama that I recommend checking out!
