A magnificent movie about two police officers working in a tough part of LA. Remarkable performances from Pena & Gyllenhaal move this swiftly above and beyond the usual. The dialogue is natural, the direction equally so and the violence peppers the realism in a truly unique & often shocking way.
The final third is truly exhilarating; the finale superb.
