Everyone else must have seen a different movie than I did. You can just tell it will end tragically, and it does. And since it is just a movie, the most tragic part is how unsatisfying the ending is. I guess it does overcome the familiarity of its genre, but this is no excuse.
It builds two terrific characters that you grow to love, and then....well, just don't watch it. Save the two hours for something useful.
