Review of End of Watch (2012) by Jack S — 28 Mar 2014
A masterpiece! Hollywood has shown countless times what they think happens to cops on a day to day basis, but David Ayer shows us the reality. The performances, the writing, the directing, the cinematography.
What fascinated me so much about this film wasn't necessarily the plot, but it was actually the conversations between Gyllenhaal and Pena in the squad car. It feels so real and so natural. A really fascinating film that just put me on my ass! A really fantastic achievement!
