Review of End of the Spear (2005) by Itzamar G — 10 Apr 2012
"Dare to make contact.".
A miraculous and endless story of pure inspiration and nonstop adventure, a timeless true story of commanding and spectacular brilliance, a story that you won't soon forget. End Of The Spear is an incredulous and absolutely thrilling tale of the unknown, a salute to missionaries and the good they do all across the globe. Director John Hanon crafted a flawless piece of cinematic art, it's Mel Gibson's Apocalypto minus all of the extreme violence, that's not to say that this film isn't without it's fair share of violent content. End Of The Spear is a hypnotizing, mesmerizing and dazzling look into an indigenius tribe of fierce warriors and how they interact with a group of Christian missionaries, a truly fascinating story and film. A wickedly blistering and utterly high energy tale of family and hope, it's action packed and touching all at the same time. Engaging, gripping, realistic, visceral, compelling, vibrant and tremendously absorbing, you will caught in it's suffocating grasp throughout. It's filled with lavish sets and breathtaking cinematography as well as intensely realistic and quite bloody action sequences. An insightful and rich film thata thought provoking and is guaranteed to leave it's mark.
The acting is decent enough with a double performance from Chad Allen. Louis Leonardo is effective as well. Great acting, great story, wonderful film.
