Review of End of the Century: The Story of the Ramones (2003) by Eric M — 28 Apr 2009
A thoroughly compelling warts-and-all look at how four geeks from Queens changed music history forever. Somewhat crude on a technical level (Johnny Ramone is frequently shot in extreme close-up), but the filmmakers' passion for the band is readily apparent throughout.
Funny, heartbreaking, and almost always brutally honest, this is worth seeking out, whether or not you're a Ramones buff or a more casual listener.
