Review of Encounters at the End of the World (2007) by Robert K — 07 Jun 2008
One of my favourite directors, Herzog has an unerring eye for strangeness and eccentricity. This is an Antarctica that you've never seen before. Even myself, who has been fortunate enough to spend several days on the ice continent, had barely scratched the surface as to the dynamic world of this final frontier.
It is beautiful. It is breath-taking. And it is not just another film about penguins.
