Review of Encounters at the End of the World (2007) by Jay H — 29 Nov 2008
Herzog's documentaries span the far reaches of the planet as well as the far reaches of the human condition. I love his work and this is no exception. As usual he captured some great images. The locals he talks with could have entire movies dedicated to them.
Watching a penguin leave the colony on its own accord for certain death was fascinating - and the perfect illustration of Herzog's films and views of nature. Highly recommended.
