I have to say that I didn't enjoy this as much as I thought, but its still watchable nonetheless. The Antarctic landscape footage is breathtaking on the eyes for the most part, but I think my biggest argument is that it relied on a few too many scenes of the Antarctic with music, not as much narrative of the underbelly of the ocean creatures as I wanted.
The true encounters at the end of the world are the eccentric inhabitants who hold down the fort.
