Review of Encounters at the End of the World (2007) by Noah R — 26 Jan 2009
The film is most compelling when it fully explores the environment of Antarctica, especially the underwater sequences which are as haunting and moving as anything Herzog has done. Otherwise, it's certainly not a bad documentary, but don't go into it expecting Grizzly Man.
It's good, but it's just good.
