Review of Encounters at the End of the World (2007) by Rob C — 22 Mar 2009
A fascinating film that largely uses Antarctica as a vehicle for exploring where humanity is and how we're interacting with the world. The scenes of Antarctica proper are amazing, but the really interesting aspect of the film is how Hertzog explores his quirky questions about people's motivations and the fascinating and motley crew who choose to live their lives and explore their passions in one of the most remote and harsh environments in the world.
