Review of Encounters at the End of the World (2007) by Paul W — 01 Oct 2009
As a child I wanted -- among many other things -- to grow up to be a scientist doing field work in some godforsaken distant and deserted part of the world, so Werner Herzog's documentary about scientists working in Anarctica filled me with longing and wonder.
This is what our first colonies on Mars will be like, I think, and I long to be there. If you share my wonder at the universe, you will love this documentary.
