Review of Encounters at the End of the World (2007) by Hunter D — 14 Feb 2010
Herzog takes his incredible eye for imagery and his inimitable view of the world to the South Pole, where he (among other things) grills a zoologist about gay and insane penguins. Hilarious. Honestly, though, Herzog's main intention is to study humans in extreme conditions and expostulate on the generally introverted nature of the people who are attracted to such environments.
