It's pretty and I wanted to like it, but as a Latin-American I think the movie was a bit of a foreign view of Colombian culture. All the cultural tokens are there (Colombian food, music, etc.), but somehow it didn't feel much like Colombia.
It just felt like a bland story with a yellow, blue and red paint coating on it. I bet there weren't that many Colombians in the production team. Also, I get that they are aiming for gender equality, but Disney really needs to stop making all male adult characters stupid.
