Review of Encanto (2021) by Happyspelling — 06 Dec 2021

I'm very conflicted on this movie. It is a movie with a lot of emotion and a great message, but it's ultimately too short to fully tackle its themes, and ultimately doesn't stick the landing. The music is overall good, but only half of the songs are memorable in my opinion.

The animation is gorgeous, with vibrant colors and realistic facial expressions. Overall, I did like this movie, but it could have been a lot better. Maybe if they wasted less time in the beginning and cut a couple of unnecessary songs to focus more on the story, it could have been a great movie.
