This is a beautiful film with a great moral; that if you try to always be strong or perfect then cracks will start to show. To me, the other underlying theme is that we are all special and have our own unique gifts, even if some of ours are less obvious than others.
And finally it’s about family. You can have the best house in the world, your children can have the most incredible talents, but if it’s not underpinned by unconditional love, empathy and kindness then your family will crumble.
The songs are incredible and very ‘Lin-Manuel Miranda’ so I’ve had the soundtrack on repeat. The protagonist is so loveable and you really feel for her.
